Facilities & Property Management
For maintenance purposes, most facilities and properties are required to welcome trade workers onto their premises. For example, plumbers may be needed to fix a leaking pipe, or mechanics may be needed to repair an inactive elevator. If the facility was constructed prior to 1990, then the facility and its owner(s) must meet specific obligations under the WorkSafeBC's Occupational Health & Safety Regulation.
These obligations include maintaining a current Asbestos Inventory, implementing an Asbestos Management Plan to label any asbestos containing materials present and providing Hazardous Materials Assessments for any renovation work to take place. Our technicians have ample experience in assisting facility and property managers with meeting these obligations. If you are a facility or property manager who is responsible for your building's health and safety program, please do not hesitate to contact us for any assistance you may require. |
